On 23 June, Cambodian Princess Norodom Jenna embarked on her maiden visit to Shenzhen, China, diving into the city’s tech innovation and vibrant local life.

In Nanshan MixC World, Princess Jenna delighted crowds while walking a Shenzhen-made robot dog. ‘It’s extraordinary!’ she said. At Nantou Ancient Town, she sampled iconic dishes like coconut chicken—a harmonious blend of sweetness and savoury notes she deemed ‘a unique flavour’. She praised the Portuguese egg tarts in Cantonese as "very tasty" as well.

Cultural engagement marked her itinerary: Jenna wore the blue-and-white school uniform, a symbolic nod to Shenzhen culture. Later, she performed her original Mandarin song Let’s Say Hi at Shenzhen Technology University.

Her warmth and respect for Chinese traditions—shaped by her family’s historic ties to China—have won widespread admiration. Born in 2012, Jenna is the great-granddaughter of the late Norodom Sihanouk, Cambodia’s former king, who was an old friend of China and had lived in China for four decades.
